The aim of this study is to determine the needs and expectations regarding military Turkish language teaching from the perspective of instructors who provide training to foreign military personnel who learn Turkish as a foreign language. In line with this purpose, the scanning model was adopted in the study. The data of the study was obtained from the needs analysis survey applied to 23 instructors who provide Turkish language courses opened for military personnel in different countries. As a result of the study, it was concluded that foreign military personnel need to develop speaking skills the most in terms of military Turkish; the skill they gain the least competence in as a result of the education they receive is writing skills; a special education program for military Turkish courses should be developed urgently and materials suitable for this program should be prepared; and it would be beneficial to prepare a dictionary for the areas of expertise that learners can use while using Turkish in and out of class. It is thought that this study will contribute to further studies and literature in the field of military Turkish language teaching.
